Growing to add value
Growth is not just about expanding our organisation. It is about strengthening who we are and increasing the value we can offer to our clients and partners. Most of what we do happens behind the scenes, while acquisitions instantly make our presence in a market or region visible.
At ICT Group, acquisitions are part of our strategy. We continuously look at opportunities to broaden our expertise, strengthen our position in key markets, expand our geographical presence and respond to changing technological demands. At the same time, we believe successful growth starts with shared values, complementary strengths, entrepreneurial spirit and a strong cultural fit. That is why we make conscious choices about the companies we bring into our organisation. We look beyond capabilities and market opportunities alone. The companies we work with need to fit who we are and how we work. Expertise matters, but so does trust, ambition and the feeling that we can be stronger together.
The acquisitions of Modality, DWG Automation, and M4 reflect this approach. Together, these companies strengthen our position in Logistics, Industry & Vital Infrastructure, and the Nordic market, while adding valuable expertise, regional presence and long-term customer relationships. At the same time, these additions help us increase collaboration across teams and countries, expand our delivery capabilities and further support clients with scalable, future-proof solutions.
By combining specialised knowledge, industry expertise, local presence and international collaboration, we continue to build a strong and future-proof ICT Group.

Nationwide presence
The acquisition of M4 expanded ICT Nordics’ footprint from a base in Skåne to a nationwide presence in Sweden through M4’s offices in Malmö, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Kristianstad and Halmstad, strengthening proximity to customers across key regions. Just as importantly, the combination brought together two organizations with a strong cultural fit and complementary capabilities in software development, mechanical engineering and specialist consultancy.
High-quality execution
With M4’s entrepreneurial team continuing to play an active role, we safeguarded continuity for customers and colleagues while accelerating collaboration across the wider group. The integration also supports our delivery flexibility: Swedish clients can increasingly benefit from access to our nearshoring delivery centers in Bulgaria and Portugal, enabling cost-efficient, high-quality execution at scale. Together, these elements have reinforced our position as a significant player in the Swedish consultancy market. The combined organization will consist of over 140 consultants and more than 150 subcontractors currently in assignment which provides a solid foundation for continued growth in the Nordics.

ICT Group expands logistics footprint through acquisition of Modality
More information
In February 2025, ICT Group B.V. has acquired 100% of the shares of Modality Software solutions B.V., a Barendrecht-based provider of IT systems for intermodal container logistics. Founded more than 28 years ago, Modality has built a strong market position with software for transport management (TMS) and terminal operating systems (TOS), supported by interfaces with key stakeholders across the intermodal chain, including sea terminals, shipping companies, customs and Portbase.
The acquisition strengthens ICT Group’s position in the logistics corridor between seaport and hinterland and broadens the capabilities of its ICT Logistics division. Modality’s customer base includes inland terminals and leading barge, rail and truck operators, adding a complementary set of solutions and sector expertise to ICT Group’s existing portfolio.
By combining Modality’s applications with ICT Group’s established activities in deep-sea terminal automation, ICT Group is better positioned to offer integrated solutions across a broader part of the logistics chain and to reinforce its market presence in the Benelux and DACH regions.
