ICT Group launches AI Center of Innovation
The market is constantly changing. New technologies, stricter safety requirements, and increasing complexity demand innovative and practical solutions. ICT Group’s Center of Innovation (CoI) has been established to bring innovations together and translate them into practical solutions for customers.
The CoI focuses on identifying innovation needs in the market and developing scalable, proven IT and OT solutions that help customers stay ahead. “We provide the structure to strengthen collaboration and create impact through innovation,” says John Koot, Director of Innovation. “By centralizing innovation challenges from various sectors and translating them into practical customer solutions, we accelerate development, increase reusability, and deliver immediate, measurable added value for our clients.”
Responding to a dynamic market
At ICT Group, we deliver a wide range of successful innovations. We develop a broad portfolio of high-quality software solutions and products. The goal of the CoI is to centralize innovation activities for the benefit of our customers. As John explains: “Many customers face similar challenges, even when operating in different sectors. Think of the use of AI, modernizing legacy systems, securing operational technology, or delivering products and machines faster and more sustainable. The CoI brings these challenges together and develops solutions that can be applied across industries.”
Tangible value for customers
“For customers, the CoI primarily means reduced risk, faster results, and future-proof solutions,” says John. “Innovations are not developed as standalone ideas, but originate from real-world challenges and are validated before being applied at scale. This allows customers to benefit from solutions that have already proven their value, are quicker to implement, and directly contribute to greater efficiency, improved decision-making, and the continuity of critical processes. The CoI helps organizations adopt new technologies in a controlled and targeted way, ensuring that innovation is not just an experiment, but a sustainable competitive advantage.”
Five innovation themes with direct customer impact
The CoI focuses on applications that are not yet widely available, but for which there is a clear and growing demand in the market. It operates across five distinct innovation themes, each aimed at enhancing agility, reliability, and efficiency for customers.
1. GenAI - Making smarter ways of working more accessible
2. Code modernization - Modernizing today, building for tomorrow
3. OT Cybersecurity - Protecting the heartbeat of operations
4. Smart Delivery & Execution - Delivering projects quickly and with discipline
5. Beyond GenAI - Predicting, optimizing, and enabling better decisions
Encouraging collaboration
“Within the CoI, we mobilize our internal organization while maintaining a strong focus on external market demand,” John emphasizes. “Naturally, we involve our IT and OT partners, who provide the underlying
technologies. As demand in the market grows, we already have both the technology and the playbook in place.”
John also highlights the importance of collaboration: “Above all, the CoI aims to encourage a culture of collaboration. Innovation thrives when we work together, encourage experimentation, and celebrate learning, enabling successful ideas to be scaled across ICT Group. With the CoI, we are ready to make innovation part of our DNA. Let’s shape the future together and start building innovations today for the challenges of tomorrow.”
